Misty Temple
I was born June 2,1979 in Mccomb, Ms. I was
raised in and around Kentwood, La., which is where I reside today along with my wonderful
husband Roger and our three cats and two dogs.
I graduated with honors from Jewel M. Sumner High School in 1997.
After high school, I attended Southeastern Louisiana University where I remained on the
Dean's list for the two semesters that I attended. It was then that I got accepted into
North Oaks School of Radiologic Technology where I earned the title as a radiologic
technologist. Now I work at Ochsner clinic of Tangipahoa as a rad tech/mammographer, along
with my co-worker, Tonya.
It was not until junior high that I discovered my love of
singing. I owe a great big thanks to my mom, Gail, for encouraging me to take chorus
instead of home ec. From then own, I've been singing every chance I get. Throughout
junior high and high school, I sang in various chorus concerts and vocal competitions, one
in which I won a music scholarship to LSU. Today I sing at weddings, parties, church and
most recently a funeral.
I am really looking forward to singing at the Strawberry Jam this
year. It is probably the biggest event that I have had the opportunity to perform at. Many
thanks to Dr. Hudspeth for including me in this exciting new festival.
